The GreenMascot project places strong emphasis on training and capacity building as key instruments for promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices in and through sport.
Through targeted training activities, the project strengthens the skills and knowledge of local authorities and relevant stakeholders, enabling them to design, implement and evaluate environmentally friendly sports events and awareness campaigns.
The training programme is closely linked to the RACE TO SUSTAINABILITY Toolkit and is developed based on the results of the project questionnaires and pilot actions. It combines practical guidance, good practices and interactive learning methods to ensure applicability at local level and transferability across the Black Sea Basin.
By enhancing institutional capacity and encouraging knowledge exchange at transnational level, GreenMascot contributes to long-term impact and supports local administrations in integrating environmental sustainability into their sports policies and activities.
