Events are a central element of the GreenMascot project and play a key role in engaging stakeholders, raising public awareness and demonstrating practical solutions for environmentally friendly sport.
Throughout the project, a series of local, national and transnational events are organised in the participating countries. These events serve as platforms for learning, exchange and active participation, bringing together local authorities, sports organisations, schools, young people and the wider public.
GreenMascot events include green sports events and awareness campaigns, the international GreenMascot Contest for students, training-related events and an international high-level conference. All events are designed to minimise their environmental footprint and to promote sustainable practices in and through sport.
By combining sport, education and community engagement, GreenMascot events contribute to long-term behavioural change and support the project’s overall objective of strengthening environmental awareness across the Black Sea Basin
